About Us
Our beginnings
Lacey Anderson, the founder of Autism Solutions Academy, spent years as a BCBA and a Special Education teacher working in the public school system. Several years into her career Lacey saw a gap that needed to be filled in her community. She saw that there was a need for affordable education for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. This education method would combine ABA principles with Direct Instruction Curriculum and differentiated learning–lesson plans that are geared towards every student’s learning style and ability.
Our beliefs
Lacey is a strong believer that everyone is capable of learning and that learning should be fun!
Taking her background in Behavior Analysis, Autism, and Education, Lacey started Autism Solutions Academy. Autism Solutions Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit private school. We depend on private and public donations and scholarship funds.
There are now 3 locations along the Wasatch Front in Draper Utah, Sunset (Davis County) Utah, and West Jordan Utah.
Over 14 years of experience
working with autistic individuals
Meet our founders: Lacey Anderson, M. Ed. BCBA & David Anderson
Lacey has been working with individuals who have autism for 14 years. She started working as an in-home ABA therapist while attending college. She fell in love with the job and began working with other kids. Once she obtained her bachelor’s in psychology, she was accepted to a teaching fellows program in NYC. While working on her master’s degree in special education, Lacey taught in an autism unit in the Bronx. Lacey loved her job and continued to learn how to best work with individuals with special needs.
After moving back to Utah, Lacey taught in an autism unit for two more years, while starting Autism Solutions on the side with the help of her husband, who focuses on the technical side of running the business. After two years, she pursued running Autism Solutions full-time. Lacey is passionate about giving every student the tools they need to succeed. After talking to several parents who were trying to find a positive environment for their child to learn in, Lacey started Autism Solutions Academy. Lacey is passionate about creating an environment that caters to each student’s specific needs—helping every student reach their full potential.
